Torres Strait Tropical Rock Lobster Fishery Management Arrangements for 2012

On 30 January 2012 the PZJA agreed to reintroduce interim management arrangements for the Torres Strait Tropical Rock Lobster Fishery for the 2012 season.

These arrangements are:

  1. The 30 per cent tender reduction for the non – Traditional Inhabitant vessels with more than one tender; and
  2. A monthly seven day moon-tide hookah closure for all license holders.

It is also agreed that these interim arrangements will be removed on completion of a structural adjustment of the fishery.
