The Finfish fishing season commences on 1 July 2021.

Access to the Fishery is reserved for Traditional Inhabitants who hold a Traditional Inhabitant Boat (TIB) licence and fishers that lease annual sunset licences (sunset sector) from the Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA). The leasing process for 2021-22 is expected to be completed before the start of the 2021-22 fishing season.
